Testing

I'm a firm believer in the high value of strong testing of any project to mitigate risks and work for all other levels of the process. While I had many necessary experiences in self testing through coursework, I also gained a larger understanding and appreciation for the role in my time at BlackBerry on the WebWorks API project. An appreciation for user testing was also developed through the study of design at SIAT.

Developing

Through courses in Interactive Arts and Technology + Computer Science at Simon Fraser University, along with personal projects, I've built an array of cross-environment development skills including Flash, Java, Unity, C++, C#, Arduino, Max/MSP, Python, and even a little bit of LISP. Currently working on adding Ruby to that repertoire. A strong sense of version control management through tools such as SVN or Git is also included.

Designing

My time at SFU's school of Interactive Arts and Technology instilled in me an appreciation for both the difficulty and importance of great design in making successful projects, whatever the scope. From a social or architectural level, to game mechanics and software interface layout, I have a strong grasp of the design process and how it all integrates together to make wonderful results.

Documenting

From my Technical Writing experience at BlackBerry working on developer documentation, to chronicling the design process of group projects, to writing essays for classes on how technology impacts modern life, I have a variety of experiences in writing great content to add to the value of any project.
